The new CIO will be replacing Matthew Beesley, who will be leaving Artemis at the end of this year for the same role at Jupiter.
U.K.-headquartered fund manager Artemis has announced that Paras Anand, currently chief investment officer (CIO) for the Asia Pacific region at Fidelity International, will be joining the firm as CIO in early 2022.
Anand joined Fidelity in January 2012 as CIO for equities, Europe, before moving to Singapore in 2018 to become CIO for all asset classes and functions across the Asia Pacific region. He previously held fund management roles in London and New York at F&C, before becoming head of European equities at the firm.
Artemis manages some £29.1 billion ($39.2 billion) across a range of funds, two investment trusts and both pooled and segregated institutional portfolios. A number of these funds are available to investors in continental Europe and Singapore.
