Lombard Odier is elevating the co-head of its investment management unit to partner.
The Geneva-based bank is naming Jean-Pascal Porcherot to partner, effective January 1, it said in a statement on Thursday. Porcherot co-heads Lombard Odier's investment management unit – dubbed LOIM – together with Nathalia Barazal.
Porcherot expands to seven the ranks of Lombard Odier's partnership under senior partner Patrick Odier, who is due to hand over to Hubert Keller in 13 months. A 50-year-old Frenchman, Porcherot was instrumental in developing LOIM's alternative investment strategies and was named CEO of hedge fund business 1798 Alternatives in 2015.
Money Management's Heft
His elevation represents an acknowledgement of the growing heft of asset management for Lombard Odier – just as Pictet's recent partner appointments do. Porcherot joined Lombard Odier in 2009 from Deutsche Bank's capital markets arm. He previously worked in mergers and acquisitions at Lazard and J.P. Morgan.
The wealth manager's other partners are Frédéric Rochat, Denis Pittet, Annika Falkengren, and Alexandre Zeller. They represent the seventh generation of Lombard Odier, which can trace its roots back to the late 18th century.
