Hong Kong’s Private Wealth Management Association and alternatives giant Blackstone are co-launching an educational program on private markets.

The Private Wealth Management Association (PWMA) and Blackstone will launch Hong Kong's first certified educational program on private market fundamentals aimed at wealth management professionals, according to a statement.

The program will be available from February 2025 to all PWMA members. It will involve a series of half-day in-person sessions in Hong Kong that leverage Blackstone’s expertise and insights on private markets.

New Advisory Council Member

In addition, Ed Huang, head of Asia Pacific for Blackstone Private Wealth Solutions, will join the PWMA Advisory Council as part of the alternatives firm’s commitment to support the education of wealth management professionals in Hong Kong.

«Hong Kong has emerged as an important wealth management hub, and more individual investors are seeking access to private markets to enhance their portfolios,» said Amy Lo, chair of the PWMA Executive Committee and chair of UBS Global Wealth Management Asia.

«We are pleased to partner with an industry leader like Blackstone, who shares our commitment of fostering the growth and development of Hong Kong’s private wealth management industry, to support wealth practitioners who are helping to manage and grow assets for our valued clients.»
