Citi has announced the appointment of a top corporate banking role overseeing the global subsidiaries group for Asia Pacific.
Stella Choe has been named as head of global subsidiaries group (GSG) for APAC, according to a statement, replacing Munir Nanji who has taken a new role as head of the Central Europe cluster and Citi country officer (CCO) for the Czech Republic.
Choe will relocate from Australia to Singapore to take on the new role, reporting to New York-based global head of GSG Marc Melino and APAC head of corporate banking Kaleem Rizvi.
Choe was most recently Citi’s head of corporate banking for Australia and New Zealand. She joined the American lender in 2014 after six years with HSBC working in regional acquisition finance and funds coverage after another stit with Morgan Stanley heading EMEA leveraged and acquisition finance syndication.
