UBP has created an advisory solutions team in Asia, hiring a former Citi executive to spearhead the new unit.
UBP appoints Anthony Kao as managing director and head of advisory solutions, Asia, according to a statement.
Based in Hong Kong, Kao reports to Asia head of investment services Edouard Hoepffner and global head of advisory Philippe Henry.
Kao joins from Citigroup where he spent over ten years, last as North Asia team lead for the global investment lab – a team that focuses on the coverage of multi-asset portfolios for ultra-high new worth and mega-wealthy clients and family offices. Previously, he was also a treasurer, M&A analyst and equity researcher in Hong Kong and New York.
Advisory Solutions
The newly created advisory solutions team will sit under the investment services unit in Asia.
It will include all equity, fixed income and fund specialists in Hong Kong and Singapore, covering related content, product pipeline, product launches and product innovation.
«We strongly believe that [Kao] and the team will add real value to our thought leadership creation in Asia − content which will be relevant and highly useful to our clients across the world,» said Hoepffner.
