Manulife Investment Management has appointed a new chief executive officer for Singapore through internal promotion.

Hui-Jian Koh has been named Singapore CEO for Manulife Investment Management, according to a statement, reporting to Asia head of wealth and asset management Michael Dommermuth.

Koh joined Manulife Investment Management in 2019 as Singapore head of retail and retail distribution – a role she will retain. Previously, she also worked at Prudential and Eastpring in various senior products and striation-related roles.

Fixed Income Promotions

In addition to Koh, Manulife IM has also made other promotions for fixed income roles in Singapore where it houses 20 investment professionals.

They include Murray Collis to Asia ex-Japan chief investment officer for fixed income and Alvin Ong to Singapore head of fixed income.

«Singapore and the Southeast Asian markets are important for our global wealth and asset management business,» said Dommermuth. «The increasingly affluent domestic population in the region means greater need for investment products, presenting significant growth opportunities to our business.»
