UBS Appoints M&A Co-Heads for Asia Pacific

UBS makes changes at the top of its investment banking unit with the appointment of new APAC co-heads for mergers and acquisitions. 

Nick Brown and Sasmon Lo have been named APAC co-heads of M&A, according to a «Bloomberg» report citing an internal memo.

The changes intend to further connect and align M&A teams in the region.

Prior to the appointment, Brown was co-head of M&A for Australia and New Zealand since 2020 and he will continue to retain the role alongside head of Melbourne office Jon Mant. Previously, Brown was the co-head of UBS’ global industry group in Australia and New Zealand.

Lo is the head of Asia M&A with a focus on Greater China. He joined UBS in 2010 and previously also worked at Merrill Lynch in Asia and Lehman Brothers in New York.
