Citi names top executives for its banking, capital markets and advisory unit in Australia and New Zealand.
Tony Osmond has been named chair of Citi’s banking, capital markets and advisory (BCMA) unit for Australia and New Zealand, according to a statement.
In his new role, Osmond will be responsible for providing advice to Citi’s clients on complex transactions and supporting the BCMA leadership team in Australia and New Zealand.
Osmond has led the BCMA business since 2012 and spearheaded teams that advised on a number of multi-billion dollar deals including private equity giant Blackstone’s buyout of Crown Resorts and Woolworths’ demerger of hospitality and liquor firm Endeavour Group.
Successor Also Appointed
Alex Cartel succeeds Osmond as the new head of BCMA in Australia and New Zealand. He was previously the head of corporate finance and advisory in the two markets.
Cartel joined Citi in 2020 from Deutsche Bank where he was a managing director and head of investment banking coverage.
