Fidelity’s investment management arm has expanded its sustainable investing capabilities with the addition of a new specialist in Hong Kong.
Ellie Tang joins Fidelity International as director, sustainable investing, according to a statement, reporting to global head of stewardship and sustainable investing Jenn-Hui Tan.
Based in Hong Kong, Tang is tasked with further integration of sustainability considerations into real estate investments, close collaboration with the research function on proprietary sustainability ratings, support engagement and voting activities with investee companies as well as development of sustainability policies and product offerings.
Tang was most recently the head of sustainability for Hong Kong real estate giant New World Development. Previously, she also worked at local real estate investment firm Link Asset Management and HSBC.
«Real estate represents a key element of global efforts to reduce carbon emissions and to implement sustainable solutions, and [Tang's strong experience in this area, along with a background in sustainable financing, ESG integration and disclosure, add further strength to our sustainable investing bench,» said Tan.
