The asset management arm of BNP Paribas has appointed a new chief executive officer for Singapore.
Angelia Chin-Sharpe has been named Singapore CEO for BNP Paribas Asset Management, according to a statement, subject to regulatory approval. Chin-Sharpe succeeds Christian Bucaro who has left the firm to pursue other opportunities.
Based in Singapore, Chin-Sharpe reports to APAC CEO, head of global client group and executive committee member Steven Billiet.
Chin-Sharpe has over 20 years of experience in the financial sector, most recently as the head of BNP Paribas Asset Management Malaysia – an entity set up by herself – since 2007. From 2010 to 2012, she relocated to Singapore as head of Southeast Asia institutional sales before returning Malaysia as CEO of the local business.
