The wealth unit of BNP Paribas has hired a former managing director from Credit Suisse to lead structured products in the region, finews.asia has learned.
KK Wai has joined BNP Paribas Wealth Management’s investment services team as head of structured products Asia, according to an internal memo seen by finews.asia. Based in Hong Kong, he reports to Gabriel Chan, head of investment services, Hong Kong.
Wai has over 20 years of experience in the financial sector. Previously, he joined Credit Suisse in 2007 and held various leadership roles, including managing director, co-head of structured products advisory and equity sales APAC as well as head of trading solutions in Hong Kong. Prior to that, he also held managerial positions at EFG Bank.
When contacted, a spokesperson for the bank confirmed the contents of the memo.
