UK insurer Prudential has announced the appointment of a group chief investment officer.
Prudential appoints Don Guo as group CIO, according to a statement, reporting to group chief financial officer James Turner.
In his new role, he will be responsible for the formulation and execution of the Asia and Africa investment strategies. In addition, he will also optimize asset-liability management and provide effective liquidity management and capital markets funding solutions for the group’s balance sheet.
Guo has 25 years of investment management and capital markets experience, most recently with Catalonia Holdings as its CIO for Asia and Europe. Previously, he also worked at Asia Capital Reinsurance for 12 years as its CIO.
