Deutsche Bank has hired a 20-year wealth management veteran to oversee its private banking business for South Asia clients out of the UK.
Nisheet Gupta joins Deutsche Bank as a managing director and group head of international private bank (IPB) global South Asia (GSA) UK team, according to a statement. Based in London, Gupta reports to Amrit Singh, managing director and head of wealth management, global South Asia.
In his new role, Gupta is tasked with providing oversight on the GSA UK team as well as covering a number of prominent ultra-high net worth (UHNW) clients and strengthening the bank’s proposition for the global Indian segment in the UK.
Gupta has over 30 years of banking experience, including 20 years in private banking in the UK and Dubai. He was most recently working at Standard Chartered in London covering the UHNW segment. Previously, he also held various leadership roles with Barclays Wealth and HSBC Private Bank in London.
