An ex-UOB Asset Management executive has joined Eastspring Investments as its deputy regional chief.
Eastspring Investments appoints Faizal Gaffoor as deputy regional CEO and head of products & partnerships, according to a statement. Based in Singapore, Gaffoor reports to Wendy Lim, regional CEO Asia and global head of distribution, marketing & products.
Gaffoor has over 25 years of asset management experience, most recently as managing director and group chief marketing officer at UOB Asset Management. Previously, he also worked with Citibank’s regional investment products and distribution team.
Regional Role
In the role, Gaffoor is tasked with the growth of Eastspring’s franchises in Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam as well as relationship management with the Prudential Life entities.
Eastspring is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Prudential and an Asia-focused asset manager. It has been operating since 1994 and as of 30 June 2022, it had over $222 billion in assets under management.
