A 22-year Citi veteran has been appointed as the American lender's country officer for Singapore.

Tibor Pandi has been named as Citi country officer (CCO) for Singapore, according to a statement, effective February 1. In the role, he reports to Citi head of South Asia and ASEAN Amol Gupte.

Pandi joined Citi in 2001 as a senior relationship manager in its Hungary unit. He would move on to hold various leadership roles including CCO for Romania, CCO for the Bulgaria cluster and, most recently, CCO for Thailand since 2017.

Over 120 Years

Citi has been in Singapore since 1902 and currently has a staff of around 8,500 people.

«With his experience and leadership, as well as deep knowledge of the region, clients and business, [Pandi] is well equipped to build on what we have achieved over 120 years in Singapore and help our clients capture the emerging growth opportunities,» Gupte said.
