A 14-year Blackrock executive has been chosen to lead the US asset manager’s Taiwan unit.

Blackrock appoints Tiffany Hsieh as head of Taiwan, according to a statement.  

Hsieh, who is originally from Taiwan, has 14 years of experience at Blackrock. She joined the firm in 2009 as head of iShares for Taiwan and was most recently responsible for the cross-border and onshore distribution business in China. Previously, she also worked at Credit Agricole and Fubon Securities.

«Appointing leaders who possess both global perspectives and local market expertise is critical to servicing our clients,» said APAC deputy head and Greater China head Susan Chan.
