German asset manager DWS has announced the appointment of a chief executive for its Taiwan joint venture.

DWS appoints Eva Huang as CEO for DWS Far Eastern in Taiwan, according to a statement, reporting to APAC head of client coverage division (CCD) Vanessa Wang. Huang will also assume regional leadership in digital initiatives such as tokenization and embedded asset management.

Huang first joined DWS in 2015 and was most recently serving as Greater China head of client coverage. She has over 20 years of industry experience and previously worked at BlueBay in Hong Kong and Allianz Global Investors in Taiwan.

«In cooperation with Far Eastern Group, our [joint venture] partner in Taiwan, we aim to elevate our Taiwan business strategy to the next level and deepen the penetration of the Taiwanese asset management market,» said Wang.

Deutsche Bank’s asset management arm DWS has approximately 3,800 employees worldwide and as of 2022 December 31, it had 821 billion euros ($875 billion) in assets under management.
