Payment card firm American Express has appointed a head of Asia based in Hong Kong.
American Express appoints Walter Liu as head of Asia region, according to a statement, based in Hong Kong. In the newly created role, Liu will oversee the firm's issuing businesses across the Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Thailand markets.
Liu also serves as a managing director in Hong Kong.
Liu has more than 20 years of experience with American Express, previously as CEO of its mainland China joint venture Express (Hangzhou) Technology Service Co and chief credit officer, Asia region and international commercial payments.
