US payment card giant American Express has deepened the areas of focus within its Singapore-based innovation center to include more AI-related matters.
American Express is expanding its Singapore Decision Science Center of Excellence with an additional focus on marketing and servicing model development and production, utilizing artificial intelligence and machine learning, according to a statement. The center will also create a generative AI research and development practice focused on applications for servicing, risk and technology.
The new areas of focus have been added on top of the existing credit decisioning and fraud prevention use cases.
«American Express was an early adopter of AI, recognizing its ability to make a transformative impact on various aspects of our business,» said Anna Marrs, group president of global commercial service and credit & fraud risk. «In the next phase of the Center of Excellence, we will bring this same level of innovation to marketing and servicing use cases to deliver on our vision of providing the best customer experience every day.»
