With this step, the Singapore-based real estate investment manager intends to further expand its regional footprint.
CapitaLand Investment Limited (CLI) has appointed Hideto Yamada as managing director for Japan and Kara Wang as chief investment officer (CIO) for China, according to an announcement sent to the media on Tuesday.
Yamada starts in his new role on 17 April 2023 and will succeed Tan Lai Seng. Although the latter is relinquishing his position, he remains an advisor for CLI Japan.
Wang assumes her role on 5 May 2023. She will be spearheading direct investments for onshore and offshore fund products while developing onshore capital market capabilities and driving platform acquisitions.
