The securities services unit of BNP Paribas has named co-heads for the financial intermediaries and corporates client line in the region.
BNP Paribas’s securities services unit appoints Hugues Williamson and Mark Wootton as co-heads of the financial intermediaries & corporates (FI&C) client line in Asia Pacific, according to a statement, effective immediately.
Williamson and Wootton will be based in Hong Kong and Sydney, respectively. They will report to both APAC head of securities services Franck Dubois and global head of FI&C client line Bruno Campenon.
FI&C in Asia
Williamson will be responsible for FI&C client strategy in North Asia and Greater China as well as the primary contact for broker dealing outsourcing, correspondent banking, cash management and liquidity solutions, execution to custody and third party clearing. Wootton will cover the South Asia and Pacific region with primary responsibility for derivatives and execution clearing, digital, global custody and local custody.
Williamson joined BNP Paribas in 1999 in Paris and moved to APAC in 2008 to launch the bank's securities services business in Hong Kong. He has held several roles since then, including chief operating officer for securities services in Hong Kong, APAC head of banking services operations and, most recently, APAC deputy head of FI&C client line.
Wootton has over 25 years of experience in fund administration, investment management, stockbroking and securities services. He was previously APAC head of local custody and clearing product.
