Bermuda-headquartered Pacific Life Re has named a general manager for Asia.
Pacific Life Re names Vasan Errakiah as general manager, Asia markets, according to a statement. In the newly created role, he will join the Asia executive committee and report to Andrew Gill, executive vice president for Asia and Australia
Errakiah has been working at Pacific Life Re for the past 15 years in its London, Toronto, and Singapore offices. In the last four years, he was the head of Southeast Asia and Japan, overseeing sales and marketing teams.
Pacific Life Re has been in Asia since launching in the region in 2008. It has over 37 clients across nine countries and has recently expanded to Korea and China. The firm is the the reinsurance arm of California-based Pacific Life.
