Franklin Templeton has announced the appointment of a North Asia head of institutional business.
Spencer Seto has been appointed head of North Asia, institutional business, according to a statement. Based in Hong Kong, he reports to head of APAC Tariq Ahmad.
In the newly created role, Seto will have regional responsibilities to lead the firm’s institutional sales, consultant and client relationship efforts in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea. Greater China head of institutional business Alan Young as well as Franklin Templeton Korea president and CEO Tay Kim will form part of Seto’s team.
20-Year Veteran
Seto has over 20 years of experience in financial services, most recently as the head of institutional sales, Asia ex-Japan, at Janus Henderson. Previously, he also held senior sales roles at PGIM, State Street Global Advisors and HSBC Global Asset Management.
