The private banking arm of OCBC has hired the former Hong Kong chief operating officer of Credit Suisse.
Bank of Singapore has appointed Ronnie Cheung as chief operating officer (COO) of Greater China, Hong Kong branch, according to a statement, effective March 19. Based in Hong Kong, she reports locally to Hong Kong branch chief executive Cindy Wong and functionally to global COO Jacky Ang.
Cheung has more than 20 years of industry experience, most recently at Credit Suisse where she was its Hong Kong COO. Prior to that, she was the defunct Swiss bank’s China equities COO. Previously, she also worked at Goldman Sachs, UBS and BNP Paribas across the US, UK, Hong Kong and mainland China.
