The private banking arm of Barclays has added a managing director overseeing investments for the India segment.
Barclays has appointed Hussain Selani as managing director, head of investments India and global Indians, according to a statement. Based in Mumbai, he will report functionally to Jean-Damien Marie, global head of investments, private bank & wealth management and locally to Nitin Singh, head of private bank, Asia Pacific.
In the role, he will be responsible for the management and distribution of all investment products and services across private banking and wealth management for India and global Indians. He will also be tasked with building and driving the global Indian investment proposition as well as strengthening the synergies of the segment across the bank’s platforms and corridors to ensure a seamless client proposition and delivery.
Selani was most recently working at Aditya Birla Finance overseeing investment product and research. Previously, he also held senior leadership roles at Citibank, UBS and CorpCare Ventures Private Limited where he was CEO, responsible for building an advisory business to deliver investment and financing solutions to corporates and family offices.
