Toronto-headquartered Manulife has hired two senior executives in Asia from HSBC and AIA.
Manulife has appointed Bonnie Qiu as chief distribution offer, Asia, according to a statement, reporting to Phil Witherington, president and CEO of Manulife Asia. Qiu has over 20 years of experience at HSBC where she was most recently managing director, business development APAC. Previously, she was CEO of HSBC Bank Mauritius as well as group head of Premier and Jade at the British lender.
In addition, the insurer has appointed Rishi Srivastava as chief agency officer, Asia, reporting to Qiu. Srivastava joins from AIA where he was CEO of group agency distribution. Prior to that, he was CEO of Tata AIA Life Insurance and director at AXA Financial Indonesia.
Both appointments will become effective on August 19.
