The investment management arm of Allianz has appointed a chief investment officer for Asia Pacific equities.

Allianz Global Investors has appointed Wilfred Sit as chief investment officer (CIO) equity, Asia Pacific, according to a statement, effective January 2025 and based in Hong Kong.

Sit has over 30 years of asset management experience, most recently as CIO at Hang Seng Investment Management where he led a team that managed over $45 billion of assets as of end-September. Prior to that, he also worked at Baring Asset Management, Mirae Asset Global Investments and Invesco.

Multi-Decade Career

Sit will succeed Raymond Chan who will retire after a multi-decade career at Allianz Global Investors.
