Following the feedback to the initial «Innovation Jam» at the Temenos Community Forum 2015 in Istanbul, the Swiss banking software firm decided to host competitive regional events to seek out new fintech talent.
The 2016 Asian leg, held in Singapore, threw up a diverse group of fourteen fintech companies and startups who were pitching for a place in the global final event which will be held in Barcelona in May this year.
In front of a 400 strong crowd that included senior managers from major banks and financial institutions such as DBS, Citibank and Credit Suisse, the participants were each given a 7-minute demo slot to showcase their latest products in P2P lending, payment platforms, data security and predictive analytics.
After an intense morning of professional presentations the top judges selections with the most votes were, Canopy by Mesitis, Meetinvest and Moneythor.
The three now win a chance to present to over 1,000 banking executives from all over the world at the Temenos’ Community Forum in Spain.
