State Street Global Advisors, the asset management arm of State Street Corporation, has announced appointments in Hong Kong and Singapore strengthening its Asia-Pacific Exchange Traded Fund team.
Matthew Arnold has joined as vice president and head of ETF Strategy & Research for the Asia Pacific (APAC) SPDR ETF business. Based in Singapore, he is responsible for developing research to help institutional investors evaluate and develop ETF investment strategies to strengthen their portfolios. Arnold reports to James MacNevin, senior managing director, head of Intermediary Business Group and chief operating officer of State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) for the APAC region.
Arnold has two decades of experience and expertise in the financial services industry. Prior to relocating to Asia, he was head of Institutional ETF Sales for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) SPDR business based in London, where he developed relationships with institutional investors in the region including pension funds, charities, foundations and insurance companies.
Gold Expertise
Robin Tsui has joined as vice president and ETF gold specialist for the APAC SPDR ETF business. He is responsible for supporting SSGA’s institutional sales efforts to increase awareness of SPDR Gold Shares (GLD) and to grow GLD market share through the development of research, education, and product positioning collateral. Tsui is based in Hong Kong and reports to Arnold.
Tsui held senior product and research positions at the World Gold Council, Bank of China International (BOCI) and Haitong International Securities Group prior to joining SSGA.
