Manulife Asset Management is committed to identifying investment solutions in the Singapore and Asian fixed-income space. Therefore the firm as appointed a new Managing Director in Singapore.
Murray Collis (pictured left) is the managing director and head of fixed income of Manulife Asset Management (Manulife AM) Singapore. He joins the firm from Standish Mellon Asset Management (Standish Mellon), where he was head of Asian fixed income, also based in the Lion City, according to a statement sent on Monday. Before his tenure with Standish Mellon, Collis spent 16 years with First State Investments covering currencies, global bonds and credit.
In his new role he will have dual reporting lines to Endre Pedersen, chief investment officer, fixed income, Asia (ex-Japan) and Wendy Lim, chief executive officer, Manulife Asset Management (Singapore). His primary responsibilities are to formally lead all of the Singapore-based fixed-income strategies and have oversight of a local team of portfolio managers and credit analysts.
Identifying Investment Solutions
Collis will also contribute to the firm’s pan-Asian fixed-income team in the management of pan-Asian strategies such as the Asia total return and Asian bond absolute return strategies.
