Global investment manager Insight Investment, has strengthened its Australian presence with the appointment of a Head of Adviser Distribution.
Rob Thompson joins from PM Capital where he was Head of Distribution. At Insight, Thompson will report directly to Bruce Murphy, Director of Insight’s Australian business, and is part of a local team of eight. This is a newly created role, based in Sydney.
Thompson previously held distribution roles with Perpetual, where he led distribution to large boutique financial planning firms, private banks and family offices. He has also held senior roles with Macquarie, Skandia and Portfolio Partners, the firm said in a statement given to finews.asia.
Headquartered in London, Insight has operations in the U.K., U.S. and Australia and employs 210 investment professionals globally; of 691 staff in total.
Insight has operated in Australia for over 20 years and now manages AUS$38.9 billion on behalf of Australian institutional investors.
