Mirabaud Securities, a specialist in brokerage and corporate finance, has hired a four-man team in Hong Kong.
The new team for Asian Equities is headed by Michael Collett, Mirabaud Securities, headquartered in London has announced.
Collett comes from the U.S. financial institution Jefferies, where he was Head of Sales. He also held senior positions with Merrill Lynch, Lehman Brothers and Dresdner Kleinwort Benson. Collett has over 22 years of experience, of which he spent 20 years in Asia.
He is joined by Eddie Jones, who has been appointed Head of Asian Sales Trading and has more than 15 years’ experience working in Asian equity markets. Jones previously held trading roles at Merrill Lynch and Société Générale.
Growing Asian Presence
The new team is completed by Robert Chandler and Richard Sharp , both of whom are Senior Sales Traders. Chandler brings over 25 years of retail and sales trading experience across Asia, including roles with ING Barings, Lehman Brothers and CLSA.
Sharp has 28 years of experience in the markets of Japan and Hong Kong. His previous positions included CLSA, Merrill Lynch, Tokai Maruman Securities and Blue Sky Capital.
