Grosvenor, the privately-owned international property group, has announced a new Managing Director and Chief Representative for Grosvenor Asia Pacific, Japan.
Daniel Cox, who has lived and worked in Japan for 20 years, joins Grosvenor having founded and led Tokyo-based venture incubation company Better World K.K. for the past 7 years.
Prior to that Cox was with Citigroup Japan for eleven years, ultimately as Vice President and Head of Corporate Turnarounds at Citigroup Principal Investments Japan (CPIJ).
At CPIJ, Cox established and managed the company’s equity trading desk and also participated in the underwriting of collateralised non-performing loan portfolios.
Recent Departure
Before that, he was Vice President and Japan Head of Corporate Affairs for Citigroup, reporting to the Citigroup Japan CEO, with overall responsibility for the internal and external communications for all Citigroup businesses in Japan.
Earlier this year Grosvenor lost a key member of their Japan business when Yoshihiko Hayafuji moved to take on the position as Head of Japan for AXA Investment Managers - Real Assets (AXA IM - Real Assets).
Across Asia Grosvenor has offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo, and a staff of 58.
