A prominent private banker who left Credit Suisse last week is poised to pop up at a crosstown rival.
Credit Suisse confirmed last week that Rajesh Manwani, who ran the Zurich-based bank's investment products and solutions division in Asia, had departed. The bank used his departure to streamline and revamp the unit as business cools.
Manwani, a ten-year veteran of Credit Suisse, has been hired by Julius Baer in Singapore, «Asian Private Banker» (behind paywall) reported on Tuesday.
His move isn't entirely surprising in that Julius Baer continues to be in growth mode in Asia, which the private bank considers its second home market.
