After losing several senior bankers last year, Deutsche Bank Wealth Management has announced a series of new hires in Hong Kong.
Deutsche Bank Wealth Management (DBWM) has made a series of additional hires supporting its growth strategy in Asia. The recruitment includes four members of a newly formed team in Hong Kong with a particular focus on covering clients in Greater China.
The team, led by Gloria Sun and reporting to Kanas Chan, Head of Wealth Management Coverage, North Asia, will be responsible for acquiring new to bank clients and raising assets in the Greater China region, the bank said in a media release.
The New Quartet
The four new bankers joining DBWM from local Hong rival The Bank of East Asia are; Gloria Sun, as Managing Director, Group Head, Winson Hung, as Director, Investment Advisor, Gary Lu, who joins as Vice President, Relationship Manager and Nora Lai, Assistant Vice President, Relationship Manager.

In the media release DBWM also mentioned new hires in Hong Kong, Singapore and Dubai in the areas of client coverage, project management, IT and Know-Your-Client activities, but gave no further details.
DBWM hired Terry Tung late last year from Swiss rival UBS where he covered Ultra High Net Worth clients in the Greater China region.
