HSBC Private Banking announced the appointment of a new Asia Investment Strategist. The appointment will bring together two former Credit Suisse bankers.
Taking up the new position, based in Hong Kong, is Patrick Ho. Ho brings 23 years of equity research, portfolio strategy and asset allocation experience to the role, including 11 years in the private banking research function.
Prior to joining HSBC, Ho was Director of Greater China Equity Research at Credit Suisse Private Bank, and Head of Thematic Research, APAC and Deputy Head of Equity, APAC at UBS Wealth Management.

Ho also held senior equity research roles at BNP Paribas, Bear Stearns, DBS Vickers and Worldsec, the bank said in a media release.
In this role, he will support the development of regional investment strategies and top themes as well as product fulfilment strategies across all asset classes for clients in Asia.
At HSBC he will join up with Cheuk Wan Fan (pictured) Head of Investment Strategy and Advisory, Asia who also previously worked at Credit Suisse.
