Lombard Odier Investment Managers has hired two bankers for its London offices. One of them launched his career at UBS.
Lombard Odier, the Geneva-based private bank, in recent months hired a string of bankers for the London branch of its asset management division – finews.com reported on it (here and here).
The bank has now added two more to its staff in the City. One of them is Charles St-Arnaud. He was appointed to the newly created position of senior investment strategist and will mainly focus on investments in the French-speaking markets, the company said in a statement today. St-Arnaud will report to Salman Ahmed, the chief investment strategist at the division.
St-Arnaud last worked for Nomura bank. In his seven years at the Japanese company, he was active as a currency strategist and economist for the G10 bloc of countries. He previously worked as an economist at the Canadian finance ministry and in several positions at Morgan Stanley and Bank of Canada.
UBS Asset Management
The second person to join Lombard Odier in London is Ritesh Bamania (pictured below). As head of solutions, Bamania will be responsible to provide solutions to institutional investors. He reports to Carolina Minio-Paluello, the head of global sales and solutions at Lombard Odier Investment Managers.
Bamania joins the Swiss company from Mercer, where he was a senior investment adviser. He previously worked as head of strategic investment advice in the U.K. at UBS Global Asset Management and at Willis Towers Watson.
