2. Hanspeter Ackermann – Failured Figurehead
Hanspeter Ackermann branded himself the ambassador of the slightly stodgy Bank Coop's refurbishment into Bank Cler – and then took his leave after falling out with his board shortly after the relaunch.
The reasons given don't tell the whole story, but with Sandra Lienhart the bank has appointed a successor to Ackermann who is determined to rolling out Bank Cler's digital strategiy – come what may. Cler is spearhearing the digital push of parent bank Basler Kantonalbank, where CEO Guy Lachappelle is running the show.
Ackermann, a former Credit Suisse banker, has vanished since his sacking in July. finews.asia predicts he will turn up at one of Switzerland's two big banks.
