Global financial advisory firm The Fry Group announced a new chief executive officer for its Singapore operation.

The advisory firm which specialises in working with British expats around the world named an industry veteran to lead its Singapore business unit. Huw Wedlock will takeover as CEO of its operation in the city-state, the firm said in a media statement on Thursday.

Wedlock joins from Old Mutual International in Singapore where since July 2013 he was area manager Asean region. He previously worked as a business consultant with Skandia U.K. prior to the acquisition by Old Mutual.

Wedlock replaces David Pugh, who after running The Fry Group’s business in Singapore for eight years, will be returning to the U.K. to join the group’s board in a global sales and marketing role.
