The investor services provider is adding a business director who will focus on growing the group's network and business opportunities across India.
Sukanya Lal has joined IQ-EQ's Singapore team as business development director, the firm announced in a statement on Wednesday.
Lal brings 19 years’ experience in the finance industry and a strong track record of winning sizeable fund mandates within the Indian market. She previously held roles in business development and sale. spanning multiple financial service sectors, including fund services, custody services, asset management, and insurance.
She will work closely with the firm's managing director of funds in Asia, Jimmy Leong, and international India-focused sales team to grow IQ-EQ's client and partner network in India while identifying and realizing new business opportunities in the region, the statement said.
Regional Growth
IQ-EQ has been growing its ranks and expanding its capabilities in Asia with a string of hires. In October, it added Hiroki Allen as its Japan-based funds director, and just last week announced the appointment of Peter Golovsky as head of private wealth for Asia, who will be responsible to drive growth in the region with a focus on entrepreneurs, family business and family offices.
The group has capabilities that span across private equity, fund compliance, infrastructure-related legal services, and multi-family office services. It has operations in 23 markets with 2,800 employees globally.
