Luxembourg-headquartered investment fund service firm IQ-EQ has announced the appointment of a commercial director for the United Arab Emirates.

IQ-EQ has appointed Joe Ives as commercial director for the UAE, according to a statement. In the role, he will be responsible for driving the firm's commercial strategy, growth plans and go-to-market approach in the market while also overseeing origination, development, management and delivery of profitable business, focusing on achieving key performance indicators.

Ives started his career in the UK police before obtaining 10 years of experience in global corporate and financial services, with a particular focus on the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) and Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM).
