Luxembourg-based IQ-EQ has reached an agreement to acquire two regulatory compliance businesses.
IQ-EQ has reached an agreement to acquire ComplianceAsia and Lymon, according to a statement.
Founded in 2003 by Philippa Allen, ComplianceAsia is the longest established compliance consulting firm in Asia Pacific. Lymon is also a regulatory compliance firm, founded in 2013 by managing director Yishan Lee.
«These transactions complement the group’s established regulatory compliance operations in the UK and in the US and is a welcome addition to our growing fund and asset managers segment,» IQ-EQ said.
New Leadership
Following the acquisition, IQ-EQ appoints Allen as managing director, head of regulatory compliance, Asia and Lee as managing director, regulatory compliance, Singapore.
ComplianceAsia managing director Alex Duperouzel will step away from the business after a short transition period.
The newly combined team of 101 full-time employees will operate across the APAC region servicing their combined client base of asset managers, hedge fund managers, private equity and venture fund managers, real estate firms, family offices, broker-dealers, insurers, wealth managers and investment banks.
