The boutique private bank has added to its external asset managers and intermediaries team in Singapore.
J. Safra Sarasin has appointed Yann Mocellin as executive director in Singapore, a position that started on 1 April, according to a statement by the firm, «Citywire Asia» reported.
Mocellin joins the Swiss-Brazilian private bank from Swiss firm My Advisors. He was previously an independent family office advisor and was a managing partner at boutique wealth and asset manager Mindful Wealth. He was also a senior vice president and head of external asset managers at DBS Bank for more than four years, and has held roles at Societe Generale, Swiss-Asia Financial Services, and Credit Suisse.
Asia Additions
J. Safra Sarasin has recently made several key appointments in the region, including Asia CEO Andy Chai, who joined from BNP Wealth Management in February.
At the same time, the firm promoted Vinay Gandhi to deputy CEO Asia – a position he will concurrently hold with his role as Singapore CEO – following Yelandur N. Nagendra’s retirement.
Its assets under management reached 185.8 billion Swiss francs ($190.4 billion) in 2019, up 13 percent from the year before, according to the firm. AUM in Asia accounted for 20.1 billion francs ($20.6 billion).
