The asset management and financial services firm has announced three senior hires in Taiwan as part of its bid to develop its retail and institutional investor business in the local market.
Appointed in July, James Chen joined Natixis Investment Managers as general manager, Taiwan, while Chloe Tai and Sophia Huang joined as associate directors focusing on the firm's institutional business, according to an announcement on Tuesday.
Chen brings almost two decades of experience in Taiwan’s wealth and asset management sectors. He joined Natixis in 20o9, and was previously responsible for developing the firm's retail business in Taiwan. Tai, whose background is in the insurance and legal sector, joins from TransGlobe Life Insurance, where she was an investment manager.
Huang joined Natixis in Singapore in 2004, and was appointed as institutional associate director in March this year. Prior to her current role, she was a customer service manager for over a decade in Taiwan.
Developing the Local Market
«We will maintain close cooperation with our local master agent CTBC Investments on the retail side, and also do our best to provide local institutional investors with more diversified and comprehensive investment solutions,» Chen said about the firm's plans going forward.
Natixis IM Taiwan has registered more than 10 funds from four of its affiliates – Loomis Sayles, Natixis, Harris Associates and DNCA – for distribution in Taiwan.
