The chair of Switzerland’s second-biggest bank is ending the year on an apologetic note.
Chairman Antonio Horta-Osório has sent an email to Credit Suisse staff apologizing for breaking quarantine rules before wishing them a «restful and peaceful time» with their families, according to an internal memo seen by finews.com.
This follows media reports last week which criticized the bank’s chair of seven months for knowingly breaking quarantine laws after trying to circumvent them.
Five and a half years ago during his tenure as CEO of Lloyds Banking Group, Horta-Osório apologized to employees over an extramarital affair revealed by a British tabloid.
