The Swiss private bank is adding a veteran of Spanish banking to its board, as a long-standing member steps down when she hits term limits.
Zurich-based Julius Baer will propose Tomas Varela Muiña (pictured below) to join its board, it said in a statement on Thursday. Claire Giraut won't stand for reelection to the ten-person body led by Chairman Romeo Lacher, the bank said.
The 61-year-old Muiña is a Spanish native who finance chief at Banco de Sabadell until March. He is also on the board of TSB Banking Group, where he sits on its risk and audit committee.
