Lombard Odier and Mizuho are furthering cooperation with a strategic alliance agreement to enhance services to high net worth individuals in Japan.
Lombard Odier Trust (Japan) and Mizuho Financial Group have entered into a strategic alliance agreement, according to a statement.
Through the agreement, Mizuho will be able to enhance its wealth management capabilities for Japanese high net worth clients by offering products and services that leverage Lombard Odier’s expertise and global network. In addition, Mizuho expects its employees to also enhance client servicing through personnel exchanges with Lombard Odier as well as participation in the Swiss bank’s training programs.
The two firms first established an existing relationship through their respective Singapore subsidiaries via a wealth management cooperation agreement signed in August 2018.
Mizuho Offering
Currently, Mizuho services Japanese high net worth individuals and their families by leveraging the group’s full capabilities across asset management, real estate, philanthropy, inheritance and succession planning.
In 2021, it also launched «Mizuho Connected Services», a members-only offering targeting ultra-high net worth clients by providing one-stop services that cater to a wide range of needs.
«Both our institutions hold a long-term perspective in everything we do, and share a deep commitment to sustainability. We look forward to welcoming Mizuho colleagues and clients into the Lombard Odier family,» said Lombard Odier’s Asia regional head Vincent Magnenat.
