US bank Goldman Sachs opened a new office in the Southern part of India.
Goldman Sachs opened an office in Hyderabad, in Telangana state to tap more talents in the country, the US firm announced in a media release on Thursday. The new office will be used for adding clients, platform engineering and global enterprise partnerships.
The bank’s new office will occupy a nine-story tower at Salarpuria Sattva Knowledge City, which can accommodate approximately 2,500 employees, according to the firm’s announcement. Along with the Bengaluru office, India has the largest presence of Goldman Sachs globally outside its New York headquarters.
Over Two Decades
Over the last two decades, Bengaluru and Hyderabad have become integral to Goldman Sachs’ global activities. «Our growth story in India is compelling and enabled by the country’s extraordinary talent,» Richard Gnodde, CEO of Goldman Sachs International, said.
Goldman Sachs commenced its operation in Hyderabad in March 2021. Currently, there are over 1,500 professionals in Hyderabad, with 75 percent of them new hires.
