Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL) in Switzerland has appointed Sharon Xie as Market Head of Asia-Pacific (APAC), effective March 1, 2024. She will report to Hartmut Vollmer, BIL Suisse Head of Wealth Management, according to a media release on Tuesday.
With over 20 years of working experience across Switzerland, Hong Kong and China, Xie's professional journey is marked by distinction. She started her career in the banking sector in Mainland China. She subsequently transitioned from HSBC Beijing as a Team Head Personal Finance to Bank of China International in Private Wealth Management in Hong Kong.
Five-year Strategic Plan
She later joined Credit Suisse Hong Kong as an Expert Relationship Manager. She took on a new challenge by joining UBS at Zurich, where she served as Market Leader for China, before joining Edmond de Rothschild as Head of Asia.
BIL Suisse has embarked on a transformative five-year strategic plan that will make it stronger and more competitive in the years to come, the bank added.
