Citi has introduced an invitation-only credit card aimed at its private banking clients in Asia. A launch event was held in Hong Kong earlier this week, featuring Michelle Yeoh.
Citi Global Wealth (CGW) launched an invitation-only credit card targeting Citi Private Bank clients across Asia, including Hong Kong and Singapore, according to a statement. A launch event attended by finews.asia was held at the Rosewood Hotel in Hong Kong on Monday featuring top actress Michelle Yeoh as a guest speaker.
«As part of Citi Global Wealth, we are leveraging the full wealth continuum to now include this credit card as part of the product suite for private banking clients in Asia,» said Angel Ng, Asia head of CGW, on the introduction of the «ULTIMA Mastercard».
«The partnership between our credit cards and private banking businesses is helping us to unlock new opportunities to expand and deepen our client relationships in the ultra-high net worth segment.»
More Experiences
Research commissioned by Citi across Hong Kong and Singapore found that ultra-high net worth (UHNW) clients wanted to «access more experiences» and «invest quality time in wellness».
In response, the card will include bespoke travel and lifestyle experiences and wellness features, such as access to luxury private islands, visits to renowned European distilleries and vineyards or golfing at St. Andrews with a pro. Cardholders will also have a dedicated «lifestyle relationship manager».
«[The ULTIMA card] meets the needs of Citi's UHNW customers, and leverages the Mastercard Priceless Experiences Program, designed to give cardholders special access to unforgettable experiences tailored to their individual desires,» added Jason Lane, executive vice president, global account management, Mastercard.
